Youth Services

Through our Youth Services programs, Elkins Mountain Schools works to make a positive difference in the lives of children before problems escalate and out of the home treatment becomes necessary.

Children and families receive one to one support in their homes from professional Youth Service Workers who are licensed and experienced in working with youth who are at significant risk of being removed from their homes.  They work with the children to build on their strengths and develop healthy, positive ways of interacting with others.  High self-esteem and accountability are promoted.  Parents and family members play a crucial role in the lives of these youth and are participants in this service.

This program is being presented with financial assistance of a grant by WV DHHR.
